Kyrea Njuguna, P.E. is a professional mechanical engineer with 24 years of international experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Renewable Energy, Water Treatment and Built Environment. For the past several years he has been consulting engineering firms in the energy and chemicals industries (Saipem, Solvay, Eras, Technip).
He previously consulted as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at BVRT (Jun 2020 – Feb 2021), which owns wastewater treatment facilities in Texas, on operational and sustainability improvements. He has managed wastewater treatment / sludge-to-energy / flue gas treatment equipment design and build for a $53M European project at SUEZ (Jul 2018 – Mar 2019).
He also worked as an Energy Consultant (May 2019 – Feb 2021) at COI Energy, on improving their commercial building energy software and developing their presence in California. He previously advised a variety of clients on Energy Strategy, Operations, Carbon Emissions, Environmental Performance, Clean Tech and Sustainable Manufacturing. These clients are Emrgy Inc. (Sep 2017 – Jun 2018), Household Energy Network – HEDON (Feb 2010 – Dec 2010), Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group – AIDG (Aug 2009 – Jan 2010) and ARUP (Apr 2008 – Jan 2017).
He was Principal Project Engineer at CNIM Group (Feb 2016 – Jan 2017) for design, engineering and construction of advanced flue gas cleaning systems at LAB for a waste-to-energy and biomass CHP Project. His earlier positions include Senior Engineering Consultant at Technip FMC plc. (May 2011 – Aug 2011; Dec 2013 – Dec 2015), Project Manager at GE Oil & Gas Operations LLC.
